As I was cooking dinner one night this week, Will decided that he wanted to take part! Anyone who knows Patrick well knows that his favorite vegetable is corn, and it looks like his son is taking after him. I had a bag of frozen corn and a bag of frozen green beans and, of course Will picks up the corn and starts chewing on the bag! I really don't think this child could be any more like his Daddy!!

Hungry Boy!
We definitely have a morning baby...he is always in a good mood in the morning (if only it would rub off on me!) He sits and waits patiently for his breakfast and plays with his toys in his highchair, and then gobbles up his cereal and fruit!

Riley & Will
Riley has definitely taken an interest in Will lately...and Will loves him! Since Will is into grabbing anything and everything he can get his hands on, we find chunks of Riley's fur in his hands often! Thank goodness Riley does not mind. The only problem we have is Riley REALLY likes to give Will kisses....so we are working on that :-)

5 month birthday!
Not too sure about this new thing....

Well, it is a fun place to play with my toys!

For Will's 5 month birthday Mommy decided it was time to set up the highchair. Will has become VERY interested in what Patrick & I are doing when we are at the table so I thought he would enjoy having his very own seat at the dinner table! He has become quite the little eater in the past month. We started with peas which he liked ok, moved on to carrots, and now sweet potatoes. I thought since it was his birthday I would let him have something sweet, so right before bathtime we gave it a try with some pears....the expression says it all! He likes his veggies better!!

Water Baby
On Monday Will & I spent the day in Galveston with my my side of the family. We thought about going to the beach but the seaweed was out of control so we set off to the pool! Will absolutely LOVED being in the water (I figured he would since he loves his baths). He laughed and played in the baby pool, and wore himself out! He was about asleep by the time we got back to the room!

And we have a tooth!!!!!!
No pictures yet because there is no way he would sit still long enough. But ... you can feel it, and just barely see it! Our baby boy is growing up!

I didn't do it!
What? I didn't do it, Mommy!
Really, I was trying to get something else!
See, I just wanted the scissors!
I am afraid we have a very independent baby on our hands....he REALLY wants to give himself a bottle these days. We try to put it into his mouth and he has his hands wrapped around it the whole time. Sometimes he ends up taking the bottle out of his mouth rather than helping the situtation.
DISCLAIMER: Patrick & I were both standing right there, and we would never have let him actuallly pick up the scissors!! We really are responsible parents :-)
It's official..we have a roller!

Peas, please!
Will is officially eating solid foods! We have been feeding him cereal for a few weeks, so we decided it was time for something else. After thinking about it, I decided we would do some veggies first because I knew if he had yummy apples, pears, and bananas he would NEVER want peas, squash and green beans! So, on Monday I steamed some peas, and pureed them (I decided to try making my own baby food!! It was so easy). He actually did very well with the peas! He is now opening his mouth wide open for the spoon, although he does make a face of absolute disgust for the first bite of everything!

So Many New Things!!
Will had quite an exciting weekend! We were very busy, and our little guy was happy as could be...as long as he was getting attention, that is.
Will is trying desperately to roll over. He gets to his side, and gets stuck on that arm. I was on the floor with the camera for probably 15 minutes with him, and he was trying to get over...I just know it is going to happen soon!

He is also working on sitting up as you can see. He puts his arms down and holds himself, and then next thing you know his tummy is flat on his legs!

He got his first pair of sunglasses and a matching hat/swimsuit - be on the lookout for a post on his first swimming experience later in the week! We are going the Aunt Kelley & Uncle Robert's to spend the day with Jacob and Emalee tomorrow.
He was too funny with the sunglasses! I think he actually liked them!

We also experimented with the sippy cup for the first time! It went .... okay. He got the hang of holding it with no problem, but all he wanted to do was chew on it! He did not get that he was supposed to suck on it.

And at the end of our long, exhausting, busy weekend our little guy was worn out!

Mommy is home for the summer!
Look at those eyes!!
My last morning to tell Mommy bye for a while! It is SUMMER!
I am such a happy boy in the morning!
Well, here I am again off for 3 months with my boy! We are already having so much fun together! He is doing so many new things now ... Will is working on sitting up and roling from hi back to his tummy! I am so excited I wil get to be home to see both of these "firsts". He is also laughing out loud at everything, all the time! It is so much fun to see his little personality coming out!
Hope you all enjoy the new pictures...hopefully I will have some news to report soon about our little guy!

4 Month Update!
Smiling at Daddy
With my cousins on Mother's Day!
My first experience with rice cereal!
I am such a big boy holding my bottle!
I have been so bad about posting lately....I promise once I am off for summer I will be better!
We had Will's 4 months check up today! I seriously cannot believe our little guy is already 4 months. He is now about 25 inches long (50th percentile), and weighs a little over 15 pounds (75th percentile ~ he is his father's son!). Dr. Taylor said he is doing great and is meeting all his developmental milestones right on track!
We started rice cereal with Will, and so far it has been so much fun! Every day he gets a little better with the spoon. This afternoon he decided he wanted to hold his own bottle too! It was so funny! He can hold it but just cannot quite get it into his mouth. Every day Will learns something new...it is so amazing to watch him grow!

3 month update!
Will is now 3 months and 1 week old....can you all believe it?!?! He is growing every day and constantly changing! He is sleeping through the night, hallelujah!
He has a new toy called a jumperoo that he absolutely LOVES! He bounces, looks at the lights and loves to listen to the music it plays!
Will is also working on rolling over from his back to his tummy! He is SO CLOSE but just cannot quite figure out how to move his arm! These pictures are from our recent attempts!
Mommy goes back to work Monday, so we are starting whole new chapter with that! I know he will be okay....I am more worried about me though!

Just an update....
I thought I would post some recent pictures of Will so everyone can see how much he has changed! He is such an amazing little baby! He is happy most of the time; except when he is hungry and you better not take that bottle away until he is finished! Can you believe he will be 3 months next week?? The time has flown by, and we are enjoying every minute of it!
