Our busy weekend!

Saturday we decided it was time to work in the yard. The weather was finally nice enough to be outside for a while, and everyone is actually WELL! We have been wanting to get out there and fix the horrendous landscaping, or lack thereof! Will was such a great helper digging and of course playing the dirt - he is ALL BOY!
So here is what we started with ....

This is what it looks like after! Much better! We still have some work to do, but are so happy with how it looks now. I cannot believe we let it go for as long as we did...

Saturday morning before we went outside to work we had the door open to the screened in back porch - Will had a blast (and so did Rocco) going in and out! We can't wait until the weather gets cool enough to do this every weekend!

Making a mess - as usual!

Update *** update to the update!!****

*** We chose someone who will be watching Will! Her name is Ashley, and she has a 5 month old named Trey. Mom & I met her earlier in the week, and feel totally confident she will provide wonderful care for Will. Her husband, Mike, was also there, and we thought he was great too! Please pray for Will and his new transition ~ daycare did not go so well, but I think this will be so much better for our little guy! I am much more comfortable with this situation. I just hope he adjusts quickly!!!!

Well .... as of this week, Will is no longer in daycare. I just could not send him back after the "Hurricane Break" (as my sister likes to call it.) He got sick again last weekend and this time his fever spiked to almost 103, and it totally stressed me out!! He ended up with strep throat, my poor baby :-(
So, I have been on the hunt for new arrangements - I can only pray that we find someone half as great as Mary was. I know no matter where he stays while I am at work there will be an adjustment period, but being in a home is so much different than daycare. I know we will not be fighting illnesses on a weekly basis, and he will be getting much more attention!
He has stayed with YaYa this week, and has been a much happier boy - almost back to normal! I think as soon as he is done with his THIRD ROUND of antibiotics and his tummy gets back to normal we will be doing good.

After Ike ....

Well, we are all safe and sound! **Including our Baytown & Pasadena family members (I was a nervous wreck about all of my in-laws staying in Baytown! Thank the Lord they are all safe!). No real damage anywhere, some down trees and loss of electricity but everyone and their homes are good.
We just got power back last night around 11:30 .... it was a LONG 5 days! Will is SO out of his routine - exhausted and overstimulated, but such a good kid through the whole thing. We stayed here the 1st night - hot, tired and ready for electricity. We then heard it was going to be a while so we took a trip to stay with Uncle Josh, Aunt Amy, & Miler for a night. Even though we were without power we wanted to be in our home after a day away. So we came home, spent a night here and then a night at my parents (who had a generator). And last night during our "camp out" the electricity came back on!!!!!

Hope everyone is safe, and there was no damage (or little / easily fixable - is that a word?)!

Getting ready for Ike

Patrick spent the day getting hurricane supplies. Yesterday evening we took advantage of all being home together! We went and had mexican food for dinner and when we got home decided to take advantage of the "calm" before the storm. It was so nice outside we sat and let Will play a while before bedtime.

Our Week

Well, I have no pictures to post because, well, to be honest this week just plain sucked. I thought by Will's 3rd week things would be better, but he still cries when we drop him off. He still has a snotty nose, the rash is getting better, his cough is still there ... oh, and he puked all over my Tahoe over Labor Day weekend. We did have a great evening yesterday for the first time; he threw a terrible fit at night before bedtime Tuesday and Wednesday - which he used to do perfectly. Thursday night was good, we played outside for a while, then showered and he was ready to read, say his prayer and go night-night (thank goodness, Mommy is about to lose her mind!)
Anyway, please pray for Will that he adjusts soon, and that his immune system builds up quickly. I hate seeing my baby boy sick :-(
