21 weeks down....

and 19 to go! I really cannot believe how quickly the first half of my pregnancy flew by! Feeling my little boy moving inside of me has to be the greatest thing I have ever experienced! Patrick was finally able to feel him on Monday night ~ he just sat there with his hand on my belly, and I kept asking, "Did you feel that?" Finally just as I was about to ask he looked up at me and he did feel it!
I found out at my last appointment I will be having another ultrasound at 24 weeks because they were not able to get all of Will's measurements at the last one....he is already stubborn like his Mommy! We are excited we will get to see him again, though!
I want to thank all of my wonderful friends and family for the continued prayers and support. Because of all of you this has been a wonderful, healthy and EASY pregnancy so far! God is good!

Will has furniture!

Yesterday afternoon when I was out watering the yard, deadheading my rosebushes and talking to my Mom on the phone I realized we had a big package on the front porch (that somehow I missed when I pulled in the driveway and when I moved the sprinkler the first time!) I was so excited because it was Will's changing table .... so of course when Daddy got home we ate dinner and got to work putting it together! We finally finished around 9:30 (past Mommy and Daddy's bedtime!) and set it up in his room. It is so exciting that things are finally happening ~ he has clothes in his closet, and a changing table in his bedroom! Now if we could just decide on bedding for the crib.....

I think we might have a future kicker on our hands!

Wow! The past few days Will has been an active little boy! I have felt more little kicks and bumps in my stomach over the weekend and all day Monday than ever before! I guess the little guy is finally growing and wants to let his Mommy know! I have my 20 week appointment (which means we are halfway there!) this afternoon, so I will get to hear his precious little heartbeat...my favorite sound in the world.

There really is a little guy in there!!!

I am finally starting to feel little movements much more frequently! It is not every day but I can tell now what the little bumps and pops in my tummy are! When I woke up one morning this week, I felt him move, and I put my hand on the place he had moved, and actually felt it through my stomach! I cannot wait for Will to get bigger so that Patrick can feel him too. Right now (according to all my books and websites!) Will is approximately 8 inches long, and weighs about 8 ounces (a whole 1/2 lb.) He is growing every day!!

It's A Boy!

Well, we found out that we are going to have a sweet, little baby boy! We are both so excited, and ready to meet Will! Our ultrasound appointment was Tuesday at 5:00, and we finally got called back at 6:00 (and my very full bladder was hurting!) They then took us back to get measurements of the baby and asked if they could tell the sex did we want to know. Of course I was like, "YES!" After a couple minutes the tech said, "I think it is a boy." She sounded a little unsure at first, but then she took a few more measurements and then said, "Yes, it is definitely a boy!" It was so exciting to finally know! My mom, Nonnie and Poppy all came back after that and got to see our boy. He was very active in there, but the funniest thing is I could not feel a thing! He kicked his legs, and was moving his hands all around. At one point he had his little hands up by his fae and it was amazing to see it so real!

2 more days!

Well, in 2 days Patrick and I will know whether we are having a baby boy or girl! We are both so excited we cannot stand it! I am so anxious to start getting the nursery ready, and maybe this will all start to feel like more of a reality!
I felt the baby move this past week! It was very strange, wonderful, but strange! Everyone always says they feel flutters, but it was more like popcorn popping in my stomach! I felt 3 little pops and since then....nothing!
I hope everyone is doing well! We will let you all know after Tuesday if we have a boy or girl coming to join our family!

Baby McLendon Update

Hey everyone!
Well, our appointment on Tuesday went great! My mom went with me because Patrick could not get away from work. I think both Mommy and Ya-Ya (my moms name for Grandma, so cute!) were both in awe of the heartbeat....it is such an amazing sound. This is starting to feel a little more real! We will get to schedule the BIG ultrasound (to find out gender) at our next appointment, so we should know if our little one is a boy or girl in about 6 weeks! I am still feeling great, so far this pregnancy has been smooth sailing!
We will keep everyone updated!

What's new?

Hi Family and Friends!

Patrick and I thought this would be a great way to keep all informed of what is happening in our lives. Right now I am 10 weeks and 1 day pregnant. As many of you know we have had our first appointment and it went very well! We got to have an ultrasound and see our little baby! We also got to hear the heartbeat, which was just amazing. We got an estimated due date of February 7. Our next appointment is scheduled for July 25 th so I will post after that to let everyone know how it goes. My appointments right now are monthly so there will not be much to tell in between (until the little one starts moving!)

Take care!
