November in Pictures....

Busy, busy month! I am back at work, Scott is staying with YaYa until January, and Will also stays with her 2 days. Getting back into the swing of things with two kiddoes is WORK! I feel like there are not enough hours in the day...below are a bunch of pictures from the month (and they are not in order because Blogger posts them in a funky order...and like I said, I have 2 kids so I am too tired to fix it).

Scott updates: He is sleeping pretty well. Some nights he wakes up, others he doesn't. Either way, we are blessed because he goes back to sleep.... He loves his exersaucer, and prefers to stand. He just turned 3 months yesterday and is fitting in 6 month clothes, some 9 month things. He smiles, laughs, coos, and is an absolute joy!

Will updates: He is a character. The child cracks us up...he can also make us really mad! He can be such a stinker. I joke with him (but he does not know I am joking) that his ears are broken and we are going to have visit Dr. Herrin so he can fix them. But, overall I still think he is one of the sweetest, smartest little boys around. He loves school, and has never met a stranger. He loves everyone.

Way to go, Daddy!

Patrick completed his second half ironman on Sunday; that is a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride, and a 13.1 mile run. He trained so hard for this, and did an amazing job! He finished in 5:05, beating his time last year by 45 MINUTES! We are so proud of Daddy and his amazing accomplishment. We are going to enjoy the next couple weeks where he is home a little more...that is until Ironman Texas training starts in January(in The Woodlands in May).

Trunk or Treat

Will had a blast getting candy, and playing games at Trunk or Treat this year. This is the first year he has really enjoyed it and understood what he was supposed to be doing. Scott was happy just hanging out in his stroller looking around. It was funny how many people loved Will's costume...I guess it just is not common so people thought it was pretty funny seeing a little guy in a UPS costume. Halloween was a success this year! The only problem is now Will thinks that he can be a "dewivery man" any time he wants. He loves dresing up in costume...

Zoo Boo!

More pictures to come once Amy sends them to me....but here are a few!

Yes, Will is a UPS guy. He loves delivery trucks, and thinks delivery men are so cool. He got so many compliments on his costume at the zoo!

2 Months ... and life.

Scott had his 2 month appointment today ... he is 14 pounds and 23 1/4 inches. The child is huge. At least huge compared to what we are used to! Will was always average...not Scott. He is above average - 90 %tile for weight, 60%tile for height. He is just big. He looks so big already. He loves to eat! 6 ounces for an 8 week old every 3 hours is a lot. He is still sleeping decent - goes to bed by 8:30 or 9:00, but has started waking up between 3 and 4 just to hang out. I hate to admit I have been doing what I always said I never would. He comes back to bed with me - he WILL NOT go back to sleep any other way... we have tried! I have to go back to work next Wednesday, and at this point I am going to do whatever I can do be fully functional, even if it means letting my child sleep in my bed for a few hours! Dr. Herrin assured me in the next 2 months when we start solids sleeping will be better.

Will is doing great. He is jealous of all the time Mommy and Daddy give baby brother, but he is learning it is part of life. He has learned if Mommy is rocking Scott, I can get away with stuff...like taking food out of the refrigerator, or getting in my closet. So exhausting. But he loves his brother without a doubt.

Life is good!

Aaahh...sleep!

Last night Mr. Scott slept from 9:00 to 6:00!! Hallelujah! I do realize that this may not happen every night BUT it was wonderful. He has been giving us about a 7 hour stretch every night, so we are counting our blessings with that. He has sort of set his own schedule wanting to have his last bottle around 8:00 after an hour or so of fussing/crying, evenings are tough on the little guy. I really thought 9:00 was a good bedtime for him but finally gave in and realized we have to follow his schedule! So, we do bathtime around 7:30, followed by a bottle and straight to bed. Last night he and Will were with my parents (Yaya and Pa) and grandparents (Nonnie and Poppy) while Patrick and I got to go on a date! They did bath/bottle and he was ready to go to sleep when we got home. I called my mom this morning and told her that they are now in charge of our nighttime routine!!

Will update: He was sick all last week...he missed an entire week of school. It started with a sinus infection, he started antibiotics and appeared to be on the mend and then his fever came back. So, literally all week he was running fever off and on. Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep a 3 1/2 year old away from his baby brother. Nearly impossible...and extremely exhausting (thank goodness Yaya let him come to her house a lot)! We are all glad he is feeling better!

6 Weeks

Time is just flying by. Scott was 6 weeks on Thursday! He is such an alert baby, he loves to just look around. He has the most adorable smile that he flashes when we talk to him. The best is when he wakes up from a nap and smiles the instant he sees my face. He is starting to become more content...not all the time, but I am able to put him in his bouncy seat and do a few things. He just stares at the monkey and frog in awe. He is also starting to take better naps during the day so yesterday I was able to clean the house! He seems to be settling into somewhat of a routine sleeping better at night (thank you, Lord!) and with his eating schedule. It is funny how one forgets so quickly all the "scheduling" that goes along with a newborn. Luckily, he has pretty much on his own done this.

The million dollar grin ... I love those chubby cheeks!

I love how his head is cocked in this picture!

And not to leave big brother out ... Will loves being outside so this weather has been great for us. We have been able to let him play and ride his bicycle a lot more often. He wants to be a triathlete just like Daddy. So he and Daddy went for a short ride the other day (then Daddy left for his real ride) and Will practiced his running in the driveway afterwards. It is the cutest thing ever, and I am sure it won't be long before he is entered in some kind of race (they do have them for young children!). He has been asking when we are going to take off his training wheels...I guess he really is growing up. He is such a big boy, and as soon as he learns how to use his brakes Daddy is going to start working on riding without training wheels.
