Oh No!
Will can now open cabinets AND found our food containers & lids ... as I was working on the laptop at the kitchen table, Will found something to "work" on too! He took every piece of rubbermaid, tuppeware, etc.. out of the kitchen cabinet and played with each and every lid and container. I am having so much fun being home with Will on my short break watching him explore and learn so many new things every day. We have a VERY BUSY litle boy!

Christmas...
We had such a wonderful first Christmas with Will! He was not sure about the whole present opening thing, but he has had lots of fun playing with his new toys!
He definitely cleaned up this Christmas! One whole side of his closet is almost full of NEW CLOTHES! Needless to say, with the busy few days we have had, and all of the new things, our son has a been a bit overstimulated! Even with all of the excitement, and the traveling (all across the Houston area from Baytown to Montgomery) he was so good, and only had a few fussy moments...we are so blessed! Below are some pictures from the very eventful 2 days we had!
Patrick & I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. Happy Early New Year!

Early Christmas
We had our first of THREE Christmas celebrations today ... so Will got to open his first round of presents! He had fun, but the paper and the silver bow from Grandma's present were much more appealing! He does love his Sing-Along Stage (which I am sure will have many pictures posted very soon of him playing with!) and his Up-Up Elmo. There was so much going on and he was very active today! I am sure he will get more into the present opening thing later, but for now the bows are enough to keep his attention!

11 Months
Well, our sweet boy is growing every day. He is changing and turning into a not-so-baby-anymore....and it makes us sad! But, he is also communicating like crazy, which is so much fun. He hands you things when ask for them, he says "uh-oh" when he drops something, and also says Mama & Dada ALL the time! He is also standing on his own and walking while holding onto things. I cannot believe in less than a month we will have a 1 year old!!
Getting ready for our walk to the swings ~ all bundled up!

Swinging...he loves it!

LOTS of uh-ohs! This is his new favorite thing to do.

He loves being pushed around on his dump truck

Baby Stewart News!
Amy had her BIG ultrasound this morning, and ....... IT'S A BOY! We are all so excited!!
Mommy's Graduation Weekend
This weekend was a big one for our family ... Mommy graduated, and Will sat through the whole thing like such a big boy (so I was told)! We had a family celebration at my parents afterwards and then Patrick took me to San Antonio! Will got to spend the weekend with his PawPaw & Namaw, while Mommy and Daddy got to relax and enjoy the pretty lights on the Riverwalk.

Patrick, you did a great job on our mini getaway! Thank you so much! I love you!

Ho, Ho, Ho!
We ventured out today to get Will's picture taken with Santa Claus...of course there was a sign that said he'd be back at 2:00 and it was only 12:30 so we did some shopping and then got back in line at about 1:30. Will entertained everyone standing around us, and about 10 minutes before Santa was due back Will got fussy. Of course. BUT, the second he saw Santa Claus he lit up!! He smiled and kicked his feet and just stared at Santa (as you can see below)! Needless to say we had a succesful first trip to take picture swith Santa!

Thanksgiving and More!
We have had a busy few weeks in the McLendon household (hence the VERY FEW posts lately). Thanksgiving was spent with both sides of our family, so lots of driving took place! Will ate lots of yummy food, and was well behaved the entire day ... we are so blessed to have such an easy going child! Then we had a few days to all spend together and get our house ready for Christmas! I am looking forward to my Christmas break coming up, and getting to spend some much needed extended time with my baby boy!

MawMaw, Emalee and Will

Helping Mommy & Daddy get Christmas decorations down

Doing exactly what we do not want him to!

Who can resist that sweet face???
Will LOVES to crawl under his bed (which is why we have pipe insulation wrapped around the bottom ~ he hit his head one too many times!)

He loves climbing on top of everything!

Playing with Riley through the door, if you look close enough you can see the black nose.

Riley thinks Will is big enough to play ball, and Will just wants to put the ball in his mouth (so gross!)

10 Months
Can you believe 10 months have passed? Our baby boy is turning into a little boy before our eyes!
He is into EVERYTHING these days...from the time we get home until Will goes to be we are chasing him around! He is saying "Dada" constantly, I only get "Mama" when he is tired, hungry, or upset! He has also started standing by himself - very briefly, but he does it! Will babbles constantly, and makes a lot of sounds that sound just like words. He says "ta" when he sees Rocco, and squeals when he sees Riley. He LOVES his animals!!
Here are a few pictures of our happy boy from the past few days:
Playing pat-a-cake!

And throwing them in the pan!

Will loves to talk to Daddy in the shower

Playing with Mommy...happy as always!

Happy 10 month Birthday, sleepyhead! Getting ready to leave for the day.

Not ready for this!
Yesterday afternoon I dropped Will off at my parents. My mom, Will and I were playing on the floor before I left and Will took a step! Just one step, but it was the most bizarre thing....he is not even standing independently. Mom and I both looked at each other in shock!! I am thinking it was just a freak thing and we have a bit longer until he really starts walking (at least I hope so!).
