Trunk or Treat!

This weekend we had a get together at my parents for Amy & Josh's birthdays. It just happened to fall on the same day as "Trunk or Treat" in their neighborhood (basically, kids trick-or-treat out of the trunks of cars ~ such a neat idea!) So, we got Will all dressed up in his Halloween costume, and took him over there. He was such a happy boy (what's new?!?) He looked around, and just observed all the crazy costumes (and people!)

My grandma is making him laugh!!

Just like Daddy

Patrick came home with the most adorable outfit for Will....if you look closely, it is a motorcycle shirt. It has a matching leather jacket too ~ so cute! (He was still trying to wake up for the day, excuse the dazed look on his face!!)

9 Month Update

9 Months...wow! Will is just growing like crazy, and turning into such a little man on us!

He is now:
crawling after us ... it is so funny, he follows us all around the house!
pulling up on everything
clapping
waving (at some people)
saying Dada, Mama, yeah
"cruising" (taking a few steps while holding onto things)
eating pretty much anything!

Dr. Taylor said he is growing right on track. He is a little over 28 inches (75 %-tile), and almost 20 pounds (50 %tile). He is getting taller and thinning out which I would have never thought as much as he likes to eat! But, you can tell his little legs are getting longer and not quite as chubby!

Our Little Family

We went to a friends birthday party Saturday night...here is a picture of all the family dressed up for the occasion!

Tickle Me Elmo (scroll down ~ 4 new posts today!)

Pa and YaYa got Will a TMX Tickle Me Elmo before he was even born and it was put away in the closet. I saw a commerical yesterday so we got it out last night...too funny!! He is still a little unsure about it, but I think he likes it!

One less thing to do...

I thought this day would NEVER come. Will has had little to no interest in holding his bottle...but finally he is giving himself his bottle!!! Now I can make it and recline him in his highchair and actually get something done around the house. It is wonderful!

Bathtime!

I think this is Will's favorite time of the day. We were doing really good with signing to Will, and have gradually just stopped...BUT the one sign I do every day is bath, and I really think he knows it! When I sign bath he always crawls over to me and climbs up me like he is ready!!

Waiting for Daddy...

Every evening Will,Riley and I wait patiently for Daddy to get home. We either wait outside or in the front bedroom. Here are the boys watching out the window yesterday...

Growing like a weed!

I really think our little boy is going through quite a growth spurt. Sunday he napped wonderfully (3 hours altogether) and slept for close to 12 hours Saturday & Sunday night! He is also more active than ever before so that may have something to do with it as well. Here are some pictures from the past week and weekend....it is hard to keep up with everything being back at work!!!

Not too sure about that crooked smile?!?

Gotta love those baby blues!!

He would open the door if he could....Will loves being outside (and can you tell Riley doesn't? Please excuse the dirty, paw-print filled back door!!).

8 Months!

Always trying to stand!

Ready for bedtime!

Good morning, sunshine! Happy 8 month birthday!
Aren't the sleepy eyes precious?

Blowing raspberries at Mommy before we leave for the day!

My, how time flies! We have such a big boy on our hands...he is into everything these days! He crawls to what he wants and then pulls up on it (even if it should not be pulled up on). Will is Mr. Active these days!! Every month that passes he amazes us a little more; watching him turn into a little person is just so much fun!
His vocabulary these days is growing, as well. He has mastered the b, p, and d sounds along with many of the vowels. He is a talker, and is so funny when he gets started! He has also learned how to blow raspberries, and click his tongue and does both all the time.

Busy, busy

Our weekend, AND our littly boy, that is. We were going from the time we woke up Saturday morning, until right now on Sunday evening!!! We started with a relaxing Friday night -- we were all in bed before 9:00!

Trying to get out of my room!! The gate was for Riley, but now that Will is mobile, it does a great job of keeping him contained, too!

We got up Saturday, and Patrick & his Dad went riding, and Will & I went to see YaYa & Pa (my parents), and Nonnie & Poppy (my grandparents).

Getting ready to tell Daddy bye!

Saturday evening once we all got home, we decided to take Will to the park again since he had so much fun swinging last week (and Riley needs all the exercise he can get!) So we took a walk to the park, and played on the swings for a bit.

He LOVES it!!!

Sunday, Patrick & I decided we really needed to tackle the front yard as it had become a bit overgrown from all the rain lately, so we went to Lowe's for mulch and some new plants. We knew Will needed a nap once we got home so I took him in, and laid him down....and what do you know????

No nap, of course....

Patrick just put Will down, hopefully he sleeps all night cause Lord knows Mommy & Daddy need the rest.

What a big boy!

So, apparently Will has no real interest in crawling. It seems he'd much rather try to start walking....Yesterday we were playing in his room and he pulled himself up on his music table. So, when we were getting ready for Will's bath last night he wanted to play some more. After we stripped him down to his diaper we let him loose, and he went straight his music toy. Of course stood up! Look at our big boy!!

This morning he pulled up on his exersaucer, and when I picked him up from Mary's (the sitter) she asked me, "Is he standing at home too?" Once we got home he was everywhere, pulling up on his table, Riley's crate, all while dragging himself across the floor (he did crawl about 2 feet!). AND while he was SUPPOSED to be napping, I went to make sure he was asleep since it was really quiet, and low and behold, he was standing in his crib! I think life as we knew it is over, we have a mover on our hands!!!

Trip to the Park

This afternoon we decided to take a walk, and Patrick had a great idea to go to the park. So, we headed over to the park and Will got to swing for the first time! He ABSOLUTELY LOVED it!!! He laughed like Patrick & I have never heard him laugh before. We will definitely be making many more trips to the park, especially once it cools off.

Brushing Will's Teeth

Well, now that Will's bottom two teeth are finally completely grown in it is time to start brushing!! I got some baby toothpaste (safe to swallow, etc..) and Will actually liked it. I am sure he actaully wanted to play with the toothbrush, but he let me brush his teeth and was happy the whole time. He is so content, and really does not mind new things ... we are SO blessed!

Back to work...

Here are a couple pictures of Will's last week at home with Mommy. I am officially back at work. I miss my little boy every second I am away from him, and cannot wait to get home! I never knew being a Mommy would be like this!! We are so blessed!

Really, could he be any cuter?!?!

Will & his best friend! He lights up when he sees Riley!

Will's Play Date

My good friend, Susan has a son, Jude, who is about 3 months older than Will. They came over one evening last week so the boys could play (really, it was so me, Susan & Jennifer could get together before school started...but a play date sounds better!) The boys really hit it off! Jude LOVED Will's jumperoo, and he got a turn in it later that night.

Really?!?!

So, anyone who has been to our house knows that Patrick carries around a jug of water like any normal person carries around a bottle of water.....apparently Will takes in a lot more than we think he does!!

Like father, like son!

Our smarty pants....

Will has decided that he LOVES the computer! He pushes buttons and just laughs! It is so cute!

By the way, he was holding himself up standing and playing on the computer! Such a big boy!

Our big boy

So, if it was not already official, it now is .. . Our baby is not such a baby anymore. Patrick & I decided that since he is constantly trying to sit up when in his infant carrier we would try something new out. He sat in a high chair at a restaurant, this was BIG! He laughed and flirted with the waitress, and looked around at everything in complete awe!
*Sorry about the quality of the picture; it is from a camera phone.
