Where did the time go?? Will is already 2 months old! We had his doctor appointment yesterdat and he is now 22 inches long, and 11 lbs, 9 oz. Poor baby had to have his first round of shots...what a rough way to spend your 2 month old birthday, but he was a trooper! He was a little fussy throughout the day, but then he slept 12 straight hours last night! Patrick & I certainly have a happy little boy; he smiles and coos all day long!

1 Year!!

Patrick & I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary today! We both are still in shock that we are so lucky...this has been an amazing year for us! We got married, bought a house, had a beautiful, healthy baby boy and are happier than either of us could have ever imagined.
My wonderful husband surprised me with an anniversary night out ~ we stayed at the Hotel Icon in downtown and ate at their fabulous restauraunt. Will got to stay with his Aunt Amy and Uncle Josh at my parents house! We all did very well with our first night away from each other!! Will is doing so well, he is smiling and laughing!! This has been the best year for all of us and we are glad all of you are able to share in our joy with us!!

1 month!!
It is hard to believe but our sweet little boy is already 1 month old! He has changed so much so quickly! He smiled at Mommy while he was awake for the first time Monday morning!
We are so excited that so many of you are checking the blog! Please feel free to leave us comments...we want to know when you are coming and reading about our sweet boy!

Our gifted son!!
Will was doing his daily "tummy time" Saturday morning and Patrick & I were watching him. He amazes us at how strong his little neck is, and he had his little legs going like he was ready to take off somewhere! Patrick & I noticed he was turning himself on his side and trying so hard to get himself over all the way. So, I grabbed the camera to take some pictures and ... Oh my goodness, he rolled over onto his back (and Mommy was within arms reach so he was not going to fall onto the floor!) I managed to get an action picture of our strong little boy rolling over!

Will is growing every day!
Patrick and I are amazed every day by how much our little guy constantly changes! He gets cuter and cuter every day.
He LOVES his bouncy chair, and is perfectly content when we put him in there (the only way Mommy can take a shower when we are home alone!)
He is sleeping so much better...last night he slept for almost 6 straight hours!!!! Mommy and Daddy finally feel somewhat rested! Othe than that we are all great and cannot wait for those of you have not met our little boy to get the chance to meet him soon!

Growing every day....
Will is doing great! As of last Thursday, he had passed his birthweight up, and is gaining weight steadily. We pretty much feed him, change him, and then wait on him to wake up again....we cannot wait for the night he sleeps longer than 3 hours at one time!!!! Patrick & I are feeling a bit sleep deprived, but Will is well worth it!

Update on the nursery!
My wonderful shower!

My sister and my Aunt Trisha (with a little help from my Mom) threw a fabulous shower for me for at my parent's house! Will really cleaned up! My favorite little niece Emalee also helped me open the gifts for "the baby" and what a great help she was! It seems that he now has everything he could possibly need when he comes home.
We had a great turn out for the shower ~ Patrick and I are so lucky to have such amazing families! Will is going to be one lucky little boy with 2 sets of loving grandparents, and 4 sets of amazing great-grandparents ... I am afraid all of this will lead to him being a bit spoiled!

Christmas

Patrick and I spent a wonderful first Christmas together as husband and wife starting our own tradition of chocolate chip pancakes and hot chocolate before opening presents (doubt the before part sticks when Will gets a little older). We both realized that this will be our first and last as JUST husband and wife, next Christmas we will be parents celebrating Will's first Christmas! We both feel so blessed to have each other, wonderful families, and now a little boy who will be joining us soon!
We hope all of you had a great Christmas filled with many new memories!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow! Only 7 more weeks!?!?
It is unreal to me that our little boy is so close to making his arrival. It seems like we are doing something everyday to get ready for Will to be here.
I had a shower this past weekend thrown by some of my very best friends, and they went all out! It was awesome! Everything was brown and blue (to match Will's nursery) and so many people came. Will got lots of great stuff that I am sure he will love playing with (when he gets big enough!)
Then Sunday I started getting my hospital bag packed; talk about a reality check! I am so excited, but getting a little nervous the closer it gets...
On a different note ~ thanks to all of you have been praying for my Nonnie. Her surgery went well and she is recovering great! God is good! I appreciate all the support and prayers from great friends and family. Please keep it coming!

Busy, busy
That is what our little Will is! I guess the space in my tummy is growing smaller because I am feeling lots and lots of movement these days!
My appointments have changed to 3 week increments now rather than every month....so we know it really is getting closer!
I do not have a lot to update everyone on; just that I am still feeling great (growing by the day) and our little home is about ready for the little guy to come join us. His nursery is pretty much complete (I will post pictures soon!). I find myself sitting in there in the glider often. Rocco and Riley are also enjoying all the "new" things to smell and check out, but are getting used to us being in the room.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Time is flying....
I am 27 weeks pregnant today! Some of my websites and books say I am now in my 3rd trimester, and others say next week at 28 weeks. Either way I am about 2/3 through this pregnancy ~ only 13 more weeks! I am still feeling great, and Will is as active as ever. My tummy seems to grow daily, and in the past 2 weeks I have definitely begun to look pregnant!
Patrick is definitely the excited daddy-to-be! We did quite a bit of work in the nursery over the past 2 weeks and it looks really good. We both just go stand in there and look around. It is hard to believe that we will have a baby in that crib in just 3 months! Rocco and Riley are also enjoying the new "stuff" in the room, and are in there more than Patrick or me!

The nursery is painted!

Patrick and I spent our weekend painting our little boys room. We had lots of fun doing it! Every little thing we do makes the whole experience a little more real! Our little boy will be here to enjoy his pretty (and unfinished at this point!) room in a little over 3 months. Sorry the picture is a little dark, but we wanted to share anyway!

15 more weeks!

I am still in disbelief at how quickly this pregnancy is flying by! It seems every week goes by a little faster, and with the holidays on the way Will is going to be here before we know it! The little guy is as active as ever these days. Every night when Patrick and I get in bed he has boxing practice inside Mommy's tummy! It is funny because it is like clockwork, from about 9:15 to 9:30 he moves around and then he settles back down. Daddy is loving it since he can finally feel him and see him through my tummy (which is also growing daily as you can see!)
We had another ultrasound last week and got some awesome pictures! Will looks like a real little person, it is so amazing!

What a strong little boy!
Friday night as I was laying in bed I felt Will kicking VERY hard! So, I looked down at my stomach and saw this little something (arm, foot, elbow?) protruding through my stomach! It was a very weird thing to see, but SO neat! I yelled for Patrick to come and OF COURSE by the time he got there Will was completely still....maybe next time!

We've got a 1 pounder!
What a milestone our little boy has reached! All of my books and websites say that around 22 weeks the baby reaches 1 pound! He is also about 8.4 inches (and that is from the top of his head to his bottom ~ no legs included!) His eyes can respond to light (we read we can put a flashlight to my belly and he will recognize it) and his ears respond to sounds from outside the uterus.
Will seems to be getting on a schedule with me....he kicks and moves in the morning when I wake up, again after lunch and always at night before bed! So far he is not waking me up at night, but I realize he has some growing to do!

21 weeks down....
and 19 to go! I really cannot believe how quickly the first half of my pregnancy flew by! Feeling my little boy moving inside of me has to be the greatest thing I have ever experienced! Patrick was finally able to feel him on Monday night ~ he just sat there with his hand on my belly, and I kept asking, "Did you feel that?" Finally just as I was about to ask he looked up at me and he did feel it!
I found out at my last appointment I will be having another ultrasound at 24 weeks because they were not able to get all of Will's measurements at the last one....he is already stubborn like his Mommy! We are excited we will get to see him again, though!
I want to thank all of my wonderful friends and family for the continued prayers and support. Because of all of you this has been a wonderful, healthy and EASY pregnancy so far! God is good!

Will has furniture!
Yesterday afternoon when I was out watering the yard, deadheading my rosebushes and talking to my Mom on the phone I realized we had a big package on the front porch (that somehow I missed when I pulled in the driveway and when I moved the sprinkler the first time!) I was so excited because it was Will's changing table .... so of course when Daddy got home we ate dinner and got to work putting it together! We finally finished around 9:30 (past Mommy and Daddy's bedtime!) and set it up in his room. It is so exciting that things are finally happening ~ he has clothes in his closet, and a changing table in his bedroom! Now if we could just decide on bedding for the crib.....

I think we might have a future kicker on our hands!
Wow! The past few days Will has been an active little boy! I have felt more little kicks and bumps in my stomach over the weekend and all day Monday than ever before! I guess the little guy is finally growing and wants to let his Mommy know! I have my 20 week appointment (which means we are halfway there!) this afternoon, so I will get to hear his precious little heartbeat...my favorite sound in the world.

There really is a little guy in there!!!
I am finally starting to feel little movements much more frequently! It is not every day but I can tell now what the little bumps and pops in my tummy are! When I woke up one morning this week, I felt him move, and I put my hand on the place he had moved, and actually felt it through my stomach! I cannot wait for Will to get bigger so that Patrick can feel him too. Right now (according to all my books and websites!) Will is approximately 8 inches long, and weighs about 8 ounces (a whole 1/2 lb.) He is growing every day!!

It's A Boy!
Well, we found out that we are going to have a sweet, little baby boy! We are both so excited, and ready to meet Will! Our ultrasound appointment was Tuesday at 5:00, and we finally got called back at 6:00 (and my very full bladder was hurting!) They then took us back to get measurements of the baby and asked if they could tell the sex did we want to know. Of course I was like, "YES!" After a couple minutes the tech said, "I think it is a boy." She sounded a little unsure at first, but then she took a few more measurements and then said, "Yes, it is definitely a boy!" It was so exciting to finally know! My mom, Nonnie and Poppy all came back after that and got to see our boy. He was very active in there, but the funniest thing is I could not feel a thing! He kicked his legs, and was moving his hands all around. At one point he had his little hands up by his fae and it was amazing to see it so real!

2 more days!
Well, in 2 days Patrick and I will know whether we are having a baby boy or girl! We are both so excited we cannot stand it! I am so anxious to start getting the nursery ready, and maybe this will all start to feel like more of a reality!
I felt the baby move this past week! It was very strange, wonderful, but strange! Everyone always says they feel flutters, but it was more like popcorn popping in my stomach! I felt 3 little pops and since then....nothing!
I hope everyone is doing well! We will let you all know after Tuesday if we have a boy or girl coming to join our family!
